Receiving an MTV VMA nomination, Jungkook BTS set the most respectable record in K-pop
BTS' Jungkook has once again made history as he earned a nomination in a major category at the 2022 MTV VMAs without any official debut solo album or album.
Specifically, the official VMA Twitter account announced Jungkook as a candidate in the pop category with Summer Song of the Year for his first solo collaboration single Left And Right with Charlie Puth .
Thereby, Jungkook became the first Korean solo artist ever to be nominated in a major US award. He is also the only K-pop solo artist to ever receive a major nomination in the pop category of the MTV VMAs.
