Far ahead of BLACKPINK, BTS’ Dynamite surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify, the first Korean artist to do this!

Dynamite has brought record numbers to BTS on many platforms.

Recently, ARMYs shared BTS’s new record, whereby on Twitter account @chartdata congratulated Dynamite on reaching 1 billion streams on the popular music application Spotify. And this is also the first song by a Korean group to do this.

Previously, on June 1, MV Dynamite officially reached 1.1 billion views on YouTube. BTS’s super hit was released on August 21, 2020 and took only 283 days (equivalent to 9 months and 10 days) to reach the aforementioned impressive milestone.

This is BTS’ third MV to surpass 1.1 billion views, after DNA and Boy With Luv . Not only that, but Dynamite is also the fastest MV to reach 1.1 billion views by a Kpop group. The previous record belonged to BLACKPINK’s Kill This Love , but this music video took 1 year, 7 months and 4 days (584.9 days) to reach the milestone.

Along with that, BTS’s stream on Spotify is also much higher than that of BLACKPINK. The song with the highest stream of 4 “black and pink” girls has just surpassed 479 million, it is unknown when the girls will reach 1 billion streams for a song on this application.
